Welcome
The goals of the Harbor-UCLA Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program are to develop outstanding clinician-surgeons who practice humanistic medicine and are well prepared to enter careers in public, private, and academic organizations.  The program seeks individuals who have an enthusiasm for learning and an intellectual curiosity to take advantage of the opportunities available at Harbor-UCLA.

The residency is a four-year fully accredited program with curriculum and learning objectives that conform to those published by the Council on Residency Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology.  Please click here to download our curriculum.

Five residents are admitted to the program each year through the National Residents Matching Program for Obstetrics and Gynecology. Progress in the program is based upon successfully mastering the skills required for each level of training. Written evaluations by faculty and senior residents are completed quarterly and formal evaluations are carried out at least twice a year by the Program Director.

Faculty mentors are assigned to first year residents for guidance and career counseling during the training period. In addition, at the beginning of the second year, each resident selects a faculty member to guide the resident's required research project.
